About Smith Tree Services

Byhalia's name is said to come from words for standing oaks, and the town keeps them — big spreading ones over the hay fields and along the roads that run out toward the Holly Springs woods. Smith Tree Services tends that inheritance: taking down what has died back or crowded a house, trimming limbs off rooflines and driveways, pruning to keep good structure in trees with a lot of years still ahead. North Mississippi storms arrive fast off the flat land to the west, and afterward the storm damage cleanup is a morning of saw work and a truck run to carry it all off. Late in the day the yard is open again, the light comes through differently, and the standing oaks look the part.
