Transcendent Lawns

About Transcendent Lawns

Late in the day, when the sun drops behind the pines toward the Ross Barnett Reservoir, a freshly mown Brandon lawn does a small trick — the passes light up, each one a different shade of the same green. Transcendent Lawns chases that. Deck height chosen for the grass actually in front of it, lines run true, the walk edged so a thin shadow follows it all the way to the street. Between seasons the yard gets cleared out and reset, so the next round of growth starts from something clean. Ordinary Rankin County ground, given that much attention, stops looking ordinary right around six o'clock.
