Zaps Lawn Service

About Zaps Lawn Service

Saturday morning north of the bay sounds like a hundred small engines at once — Cedar Lake, Woolmarket, the streets where the pines throw long shade until nearly midday. Zaps Lawn Service is one of them, moving the route lot by lot: mow, trim, edge, blow, load up, go on to the next. There is real satisfaction in a sidewalk edged so the turf stops in a straight groove, and in a lawn held at one honest height from the road clear to the back fence. Yards run big and open up this way, which rewards a machine that keeps rolling and a hand that never skips the fence corners. By noon the trailer ramp goes up and a whole street looks like somebody paid attention to it.
