About c&c Construction and lawn care

January along the Tchoutacabouffa is this coast at its quietest — grass gone tan and dormant, light low and gold by four, the river sliding brown and slow toward the Back Bay. It is the season for the work nobody notices in summer: limbs hauled off, brush and yard debris cleared out, hedges taken back hard, beds raked down to bare ground so spring has somewhere to arrive. c&c Construction and lawn care keeps the mowers turning through the warm months as well — cutting, edging, trimming, sweeping the drives down — but there is something particular about a lot handed back in winter with nothing left lying in it. Around Biloxi the yards fill in fast once the weather turns, so the ones tended all year are easy to pick out come March. Cold morning, cleared ground, truck loaded: a good way to end a day.
