Barrilleaux's Lawn Service

About Barrilleaux's Lawn Service

At Point Cadet the wind comes in off the Sound carrying salt and boat diesel, and the yards tucked between the small craft harbor and Howard Avenue are square, tight, and full of corners. Barrilleaux's Lawn Service handles them the way anybody handles close work — slow through the turns, careful along the fence, a string trimmer everywhere a mower will never fit. Late afternoon, when the shrimp boats are back and the light goes gold across the water, a finished block of little lawns looks like one long green ribbon. Clippings get swept off the concrete instead of left to bleach in the sun. It is patient work, and this end of Biloxi rewards patience.
