About Hicks Lawn Service LLC

October arrives around Beechwood as a change in the light before it is a change in the air. Sweetgum and pine let go a little at a time along the gravel roads running north toward Redwood, and Hicks Lawn Service LLC keeps a steady weekly round straight through it — mowing while the Bermuda still wants cutting, then string trimming, edging and leaf cleanup as the season turns the work over. There is a particular pleasure in the last pass of the blower, when a yard that was drifted an hour ago shows its grass again. Winter this far south is brief and only half asleep, so the round never really stops; it just slows down. What lasts is the habit — same day, same yards, the place kept in order.
