About Gilleylen Enterprise

Fog lies on the Tombigbee most spring mornings in Aberdeen, and it burns off about the time the first yard of the day is ready to cut. Gilleylen Enterprise mows and trims through that river-town humidity, where the soil holds water and the grass takes full advantage of it. There is real pride in an edge run straight along a driveway, in the way trimmed grass around a mailbox post makes a whole front yard look tended rather than merely mowed. Barges move slow on the waterway east of town and the work moves at its own steady pace, lawn after lawn, until the light goes gold over Monroe County. Clippings get blown back into the turf or off the walk entirely, because the last five minutes are what people actually see.
