Redbird Lawn Service

About Redbird Lawn Service

Morning comes early to Wentzville in June, and the light finds the grass before it finds the rooftops above Peruque Creek. That is when Redbird Lawn Service is already out — mower warm, lines running true, the smell of cut fescue rising off a St. Charles County yard. There is a plain joy in the finish: a crisp edge along the walk, clippings swept off the drive, a lawn that looks like someone tended it on purpose. In April the redbuds go pink along the fencerows here and the whole town leans toward green; by August the work is holding that green through the heat. Cardinals argue in the hedges while the trimmer sings. Keeping a yard in order is a small thing, and it is also the first thing anyone sees.
