The old core of Wentzville still holds a depot-town shape, streets running straight off the rail line that first put the place on the map. Ed's Landscaping works those original blocks first, clearing driveways along streets laid out long before the subdivisions arrived on the farmland around them. Walkways in this part of town tend to run close to the curb, so the plow leaves a clean edge instead of a ridge of scraped snow blocking the sidewalk. Salt goes down heaviest at the old rail crossing, where shade from the depot roof keeps that one stretch icy after the rest of the block has dried.
