About Long Mowing Co.

Between the Big Piney and the Gasconade, autumn arrives in Pulaski County one ridge at a time, the hickories turning yellow well before the oaks make up their minds. Long Mowing Co. is out through that change, carrying lawns from the last full cuts of the season into leaf cleanup. Around Waynesville the properties vary — village yards, roadside frontage, places with a long gravel drive and a mailbox that has to be trimmed around. Steady mowing, edging where grass meets pavement, and blowing the walks and drive clear is the whole recipe, repeated well. There is something plainly satisfying about the final cut of the year on a yard that's been tended since April.
