About Emerald Valley Outdoor Services

Above the Meramec River bottoms, Valley Park's ground rises into bluffs where the newer streets look down over the valley instead of sitting in it. Emerald Valley Outdoor Services works that high ground in the evening hours, clearing driveways after the last commuters have made it home from the bridge below. Walkways along the bluff get extra care, since the drop just past the sidewalk edge makes a patch of ice more than an inconvenience. The valley below holds its lights through the evening plow, river bottom and bluff top lit the same even as the cold splits them in two. Last light usually catches the crew finishing the highest streets, valley spread out dark beneath them.
