About Schilli Hauling & Excavating Llc

Ste. Genevieve's old French colonial houses, their vertical log walls dark against the snow, sit close to a stretch of the Mississippi that has flooded and frozen this same ground for centuries. Schilli Hauling & Excavating Llc clears the drives and lots through the historic district and the newer streets around it, working equipment built for heavier jobs to push back what a river town's damp cold delivers overnight. The vineyards along the Route du Vin nearby go silent and white in a hard snap, rows of bare vines standing in neat lines under frost. Ste. Genevieve's narrow, centuries-old streets take a careful hand — a plow blade has to respect stone foundations and tight corners that predate the country itself. There's something fitting about clearing snow in a town this old, where every winter is just the latest one in a very long line.
