Tracy's Lawn & Landscaping Service

About Tracy's Lawn & Landscaping Service

Carondelet's old shot tower still stands near the riverfront, a leftover from the neighborhood's industrial days, and snow gathers around its base the same way it always has along that stretch of the Mississippi. Tracy's Lawn & Landscaping Service clears the drives and walks through Carondelet's older blocks, working streets laid out long before anyone thought about plow routes or salt trucks. The old soap factory smokestacks nearby still mark the skyline, and the riverfront cold seems to reach this part of the city a little heavier than elsewhere. Clearing a walk along one of Carondelet's century-old blocks means working around uneven, historic curbs that don't always match up to a modern blade. There's a quiet pride in getting one of the city's oldest neighborhoods moving again after a hard snow.
