A route is a kind of map of a town. Holifield property maintenance llc runs one through Park Hills and the rest of St. Francois County — the same yards on the same days, mowing and trimming and edging and clearing the clippings so nothing gets away over the course of a week. Properties looked after on a schedule are easy to pick out: the height stays honest, the borders stay where they belong, nothing goes shaggy in the middle of July. The hills here put a short awkward lawn and a long sloping one on the same street, and both get the same attention. There is real pride in pulling up to a place and finding almost nothing left to fix.
