About TruLawn

On Springfield's north side, the lagoon at Doling Park mirrors its old shade trees, and in May an afternoon can turn in minutes when a line of storms marches in from the west. TruLawn mows and trims the city's yards on the bright days between those storms, keeping the grass from ever getting ahead. In spring the Ozark grass seems to grow by the hour, fed by rain and warm nights, and a yard left alone for two weeks starts drifting toward meadow. A true, level cut, the edges trimmed along the drive, the walk left bare of cuttings: that is the steady answer to an Ozark May. When the sky clears and the wet blades sparkle, a freshly mowed lawn looks almost painted in.
