About Imagination Landscapes

In early March, Jordan Creek comes back out into daylight downtown and the grass along it is still the color of straw. That is the season for seeing a yard as it will be rather than as it is. Imagination Landscapes opens the year with cleanups — winter litter raked out, matted leaves pulled off the crowns, edges recut where the turf drifted over the walk. Then the mowing starts, slowly at first and weekly soon after, as Springfield warms up out of the plateau's long gray. By late April a yard that got that early attention is the greenest thing on its block.
