About American Grass Choppers, LLC

Kearney Street carries old Route 66 across the north side, motel signs and all, and in June the storms build right around supper time. American Grass Choppers, LLC times the day against that, the last yard finished while the sky over the west end goes the color of a bruise. Deck set, blades sharp, the machine takes a shaggy lot back to something even; then the trimmer squares up the fence line, the sign post and the tree ring. Grass gets cleared off the walk and curb before rain can paste it there. A lawn cut just ahead of a thunderstorm greens up like it is showing off.
