About Jacobson Services

Slater was built around the rail line, and a freight still comes through to remind the town of it while work goes on either side of the tracks. Jacobson Services mows the yards up in the town grid and out where the hills drop away toward the Missouri River bottoms. Saline County ground grows corn shoulder-high and grass right along with it, so midsummer is a race that only steady scheduling wins. They cut it even, trim the posts and the walks, and clear what is left on the concrete. A well-kept lawn on a wide old street holds its own against anything the season throws at it.
