About Active Lawns of Mid Missouri, Inc.

Sedalia sits on a quiet height of land, where a summer rain splits without ceremony — part of it easing north toward the Lamine, part slipping south to Flat Creek and the Osage. Active Lawns of Mid Missouri, Inc. works that high prairie ground, keeping grass even across yards that lean two directions at once. Mowing, trimming and edging here mean reading a slope before the blade ever drops, then walking it again to be sure the line held. There is a plain satisfaction in a Pettis County yard cut clean to the drive, the clippings swept off, the border standing sharp against the concrete. Mid-Missouri weather does not ask permission, so the work follows it: early on the hot days, quick after the storms, steady on to the last mow of the year.
