Zanescapes Tree & Yard

About Zanescapes Tree & Yard

Near the rail crossing outside Scott, loaded grain cars sit through the winter while frost silvers the shelterbelt trees planted along the old field lines, needles and bare branches both catching the cold before the open fields beside them ever turn white. Zanescapes Tree & Yard reads those shelterbelts closely, which limbs are carrying too much ice, which yards hold water and freeze first, because a yard here rarely behaves the way the field beside it does. Rows of cotton stubble stand dark under the snow past the rail line, and the driveways cutting through them get plowed straight down the row, following the lines the equipment left before the ground froze. A stretch of frozen ground out here can look the same for miles in every direction, so knowing this particular lane, this particular yard, matters more than the depth of the snow itself. Clear by first light, frost still holding along the shelterbelt, is the standard the work is held to.
