Pratts Lawn and Garden

About Pratts Lawn and Garden

Saturday mornings in Rolla smell like tomato vines and cut grass in about equal measure once June arrives. Pratts Lawn and Garden lives in both halves of that — turf mown and edged out front, beds tended out back so they actually produce. Garden work in this county means rocky ground and a hot second half of summer, so the soil gets built up and the mulch goes on thick. Between the two there is a rhythm: cut the lawn, then kneel in the dirt awhile. A yard that feeds somebody and still looks sharp from the street earns the extra hour.
