Big Dave's Lawn Care

About Big Dave's Lawn Care

Noon in July on a Rocky Fork gravel road: heat coming up off the rock, dust hanging where the truck went by, fescue standing pale and stiff in the open ground. Big Dave's Lawn Care does the plain work and does it all the way through — mowing, string trimming around posts and mailboxes, edging the walks, and blowing the clippings off the concrete before pulling out. There is a lot of ground between the county line and Hallsville, and the last yard of the day gets the same attention as the first. Missouri summer doesn't slow down for anybody, so the route just keeps turning over. Come evening it all sits cut and even, which is the entire point.
