Richmond Heights is a small, dense grid of brick bungalows tucked between Clayton and the city, close enough that on a clear winter morning you can catch the downtown skyline over the rooftops while Frisella Landscape Group works its way down a street of narrow driveways. These aren't long clears — most runs are a car-length or two — but there are a lot of them packed close together, block after block where Deer Creek cuts a quiet seam through the neighborhood before disappearing under Big Bend Boulevard. The crew moves fast between houses, the way you have to in a suburb built this tight, porch stoop to porch stoop. There's a rhythm to it that a wide-open county road never gives you. By the time Richmond Heights heads out for the day, the driveways along Deer Creek are already done, and the skyline's just visible past the last one.
