About Preston Lawn Care LLC

Rich Hill sits on ground that once gave up coal by the trainload, and the old workings have long since gone to water and grass — quiet lakes and prairie where the pits used to be. The wind comes across all of it unbroken, which makes a mown yard in town feel like a made thing, a square of order set against a great deal of open country. Preston Lawn Care does that work: mowing, string trimming, edging, hauling the clippings off. Bates County summers run long and bright, and a lawn held even through one shows plainly the effort behind it. Rich Hill, Butler, Hume, Adrian and Amoret are all on the map.
