Halsey's mowing

About Halsey's mowing

Freight still rolls through Raymore past the old depot, and there is something in that plain steady rhythm that suits mowing. Halsey's mowing does what the name says — cutting grass, trimming the edges of it, clearing what the deck throws onto the drive, week after week through the growing season. No mystery to any of it: even passes, one height, a line along the sidewalk you could lay a string against. A yard done this way never asks for attention, it just looks right every time you pull in. Putting a name on the work is a way of standing behind it.
