About DOC's Lawn Care & Snow Removal

Plattsburg wears its status as the Clinton County seat the way a lot of small Missouri towns do — a courthouse anchoring a square, streets radiating out into the same rolling corn and cattle ground that surrounds it for miles. DOC's Lawn Care & Snow Removal starts most winter storms working that square first, clearing the walks around the courthouse and the businesses fronting it before the county offices open for the day. From there the trucks fan out along the roads leading to the farms, where driveways run long enough that plowing them properly means more than one pass, and cattle still need a clear path to water no matter what the sky is doing. Snow tends to blow hard across Clinton County's open rise-and-fall ground, filling in a cleared lane again within the hour if the wind doesn't let up. The crew's answer to that is simple persistence — clear it, watch the wind, clear it again — until the square and the farm roads both hold.
