Cortes Lawn Care

About Cortes Lawn Care

West of the old depot the Katy Trail leaves Sedalia in a long white line of crushed limestone, with prairie and hay ground opening on either side of it. Cortes Lawn Care keeps yards along those streets and section roads — mowing on a steady rotation, string trimming around posts and fence lines, edging the walk until the seam is sharp. Late May in Pettis County is generous; the grass grows faster than anyone quite believes, and the work is keeping up with it week by week. There is real satisfaction in returning to a yard that had gotten away from someone and leaving it even, green and finished. These lawns get their best light in the hour before dusk, and that is when the cut shows.
