417 mowing

About 417 mowing

Fog gathers in the Finley bottoms before sunrise, and Ozark comes back out of it one street at a time. 417 mowing takes those first cool hours, when the grass cuts clean and a straight pass still holds its line by noon. Mowing, string trimming along fences and mailbox posts, an even edge where sod meets concrete, walks and drives blown off before the trailer gate goes up. July runs hot along the Highway 65 corridor, so the deck comes up and the yards keep their color deep into August. It is ordinary work done in order, and a whole block looks better for it.
