ABC lawn care

About ABC lawn care

By mid-July the Oakville afternoons belong to the cicadas — a wall of sound in the old oaks, heat sitting heavy over south county. ABC lawn care builds the week around that, cutting on the schedule the grass keeps rather than the one the calendar suggests, and leaving the blade higher in the hot stretch so the roots stay shaded. Trimming around fence posts, mailboxes and tree bases; edging where the turf tries to creep out over concrete; the drive left clean before the truck moves on. Come autumn the work turns toward cleanups, leaves off the lawn before a wet week mats them down. It is unglamorous, repeating work, and a street that stays even all summer is the proof of it.
