About County Land Maintenance Inc

Long after the last office light in O'Fallon's business parks along Mid Rivers Mall Drive blinks off, County Land Maintenance Inc rolls out under a sky the color of wet concrete, working lots empty enough to plow in wide, clean passes. Snow here rarely announces itself gently — it comes sideways off the prairie that used to run clear toward the Missouri River bottoms before the parking lots claimed it — and the crew answers with headlights and a steady line of trucks pushing drifts to the property edges. Curb lines reappear, handicap spaces get their stripes back, and the loading docks stay open for the trucks due at sunrise. It's quiet work, done while the county sleeps, so that nobody arriving for an 8 a.m. shift ever has to think about how the lot got clear. That kind of timing, unseen by nearly everyone, is its own reward.
