About Doug & Sons

Saturday morning in North Elkhorn is garage doors open, coffee on the step, somebody's dog supervising the street. Doug & Sons moves through it lawn by lawn, mowing, edging the walks, trimming the strip along the mailbox that everybody forgets. It is unglamorous work and it is the entire reason a block looks cared for. A straight edge along a sidewalk is a small promise kept, and it holds all week. By noon the mowers are quiet and the whole street smells like cut grass.
