About Ozark Mountain Dirtworks

Ozark ground is honest about what it is: a thin layer of soil over chert and stone, with red clay that bakes hard in the August sun. Around Myatt, grass has to fight for every inch, and so does anyone who looks after it. Ozark Mountain Dirtworks takes on that stubborn earth in the heat of high summer, mowing the slopes and trimming along the rocky margins where a blade meets flint. What it leaves behind is a lawn holding its green on a hillside where the afternoon light falls hard. It is a hard-won kind of beauty, and it belongs to these hills.
