Parker’s Lawn Service

About Parker’s Lawn Service

Wind owns northwest Missouri, and at Mound City it comes off the loess bluffs and across the river bottoms with nothing in the way to slow it down. Parker's Lawn Service works these Holt County yards under that enormous sky — mowing, string trimming around foundations and fence posts, cutting a clean edge where turf meets sidewalk. In late winter the snow geese pour into the refuge below town by the thousand; by April the grass is up and the season has begun again. A lawn kept short and sharp holds its own against the wind and the dust drifting off the fields. Nothing fancy in the work — just the plain good look of a place kept up.
