Ek Lawn Care

About Ek Lawn Care

Meadville sits along US 36 with the Grand River bottoms spread out below it, and on an autumn morning the fog lies over that low ground like a second field. Ek Lawn Care works the town above it — mowing, trimming and edging through the season, clippings bagged or blown clear, and the leaf cleanups that arrive with the geese and the shorter light. Linn County ground grows a heavy stand of grass when the bottoms hold their moisture, which means the mowing keeps its own calendar rather than the one on the wall. There is a plain pride in a small town where the yards along the highway all sit trimmed and squared. Anybody passing through on 36 sees it, whether they realize it or not.
