Give this country a week of rain in late spring and the grass around May will get away from anybody. The Grass Gobbler exists for that exact situation: knocking down heavy growth, mowing it back into shape, trimming out fence lines and ditch banks, edging the walks and clearing off every bit of the clippings so nothing mats down on top of the turf. A tall yard cut back in one afternoon is a satisfying piece of arithmetic. After the reset comes the weekly rhythm, which is easier on the lawn and on the mower both. The name is a joke; the appetite is real.
