Good Ol’ Boy Lawn Service

About Good Ol’ Boy Lawn Service

In August the prairie country along the Highway 36 corridor runs to corn on one side and beans on the other, and the heat simply stands still over both. Good Ol' Boy Lawn Service works the cool ends of those days around Macon, mowing early or late and letting the middle of the afternoon belong to the crickets. Lawns out here get full sun and open wind, so the cut goes taller in the worst weeks to keep roots shaded and the color holding. Trimming finishes the fence rows, garden edges and the corners near the outbuildings; edging squares the drive back up against the gravel. When the dust of the harvest season starts drifting in off the fields, a yard mowed clean and trimmed tight is what keeps a place looking looked-after.
