Martin's Lawn Care

About Martin's Lawn Care

Late in the year the country around Lorance goes gold and then plain brown, and woodsmoke settles low over the fields about the time the light starts to fail. Martin's Lawn Care runs the fall route through it, taking the final mowings and pulling the leaves off before a wet week mats them down for good. The work is unhurried by then — grass slowing, mornings cold, the mower quieter against all that stillness. Trimming tidies the fence lines and the shed corners; edging leaves the walk with a clean shoulder to carry into the freeze. A yard finished off right in November holds its shape all winter, and that is a good thing to look out at from a warm kitchen.
