About Summit Turf Services LLC

Lee's Summit sits in what turf growers call the transition zone, too hot in August for cool-season grass to coast and too cold in January for warm-season grass to feel at home. Summit Turf Services LLC tends lawns in that in-between country, and early September is when the lawn starts to answer back: fog pools in the creek bottoms at daybreak, the nights finally cool, and tall fescue begins waking from its summer slump. Mowing at a sensible height through that recovery lets the turf fill back in, and trimmed edges let the thickening green show off. This is the time when a lawn on these Missouri uplands can come out of the heat looking stronger than it went in. Watching a tired yard turn dense and even again is the reward the season pays.
