About Skeens Landscaping & Hardscaping

Dig a few feet into Lee's Summit and you find what holds this part of Missouri up: stubborn clay, and beneath it, layered gray limestone. Skeens Landscaping & Hardscaping works both halves of that story, tending the lawn above and, as the name says, building landscape and hardscape where a yard needs shape and structure. Late March is when the ground begins to soften and the first sunny afternoons pull people outside to picture a new bed line, a stone border or a path across the grass. Neat edges, a fresh mow and planting set in the right places can change how a whole property sits on its lot. There is a deep satisfaction in shaping ground that rests on stone this old.
