K.C. Metro Lawn and Snow

About K.C. Metro Lawn and Snow

Highway 291 carries Lee's Summit's morning commute toward Kansas City, and on a snow morning that stretch of road is exactly where black ice does its worst work. K.C. Metro Lawn and Snow gets ahead of it at the source, clearing driveways and lot entrances before the first commuters ease their way onto the arterials. A driveway still packed with snow at six in the morning turns into somebody's late start and a white-knuckle merge; a driveway scraped clean turns into just another ordinary Tuesday. The crew keeps its own schedule tied to that commute, working the feeder streets before working anywhere else. It's small, unglamorous timing, but getting people down the driveway and onto the road safely is the whole reason the work exists.
