Horizon Lawn & Landscape

About Horizon Lawn & Landscape

East of Lee's Summit the ground opens into the kind of long, rolling horizon that used to be dairy pasture before the newer streets arrived, and the sky out there turns pink and gray well before it does anywhere closer to the highway. Horizon Lawn & Landscape works those newer driveways at the edge of the old farmland, plowing while the horizon is still more silhouette than color. There's a particular quiet to that hour — no traffic yet, just the plow blade and a wide sky doing its slow work overhead. Getting a driveway scraped to bare concrete before that light fully breaks means somebody backs out for work without a second thought. The crew has grown fond of that stretch of open sky, the kind nobody driving past at noon ever really notices.
