About Hammond Excavating & Septic

A lot of the driveways Hammond Excavating & Septic first cut into the bluffs above the Niangua arm were graded steep on purpose, chasing the best view of the water instead of the easiest angle for a truck. That same grade turns into a genuine problem every time Kiheka gets an ice event, since a slope that's fine dry is close to unusable glazed over. The same dozer and equipment that shaped those drives in the first place comes back out in winter to keep them passable, pushing snow off to the side rather than down toward the water where it'll just refreeze at the bottom. Septic work doesn't stop for weather either, so a January service call up one of these bluff roads usually means clearing a path before the real job can even start. It's heavy equipment doing careful work, one steep lake driveway at a time.
