Each fall the sky over Chariton County fills with geese bound for the marshes at Swan Lake, and their calls carry down over Keytesville on the cool October air. LaFoe Lawn Care works beneath that traffic, giving lawns their last good mows of the year and clearing the leaves that pile against fences and foundations. Autumn is the setup season: a careful cut and a clean sweep now mean a stronger green come April. LaFoe enjoys leaving a property crisp and uncluttered as the afternoons shorten toward dusk. When the last flock passes over, Keytesville's lawns are ready for winter's long pause.
