Vargas Lawn

About Vargas Lawn

West of Main the streets tip downhill toward Roanoke Park, and a spring rain runs off those hillsides in bright little ribbons along the curb. Vargas Lawn mows the Valentine and Coleman Highlands yards between showers, working the slopes, trimming along retaining walls, and edging walks that curve with the land. Wet spring grass cuts heavy, so it asks for a slower pass and a cleaner sweep afterward. When the sun returns an hour later the whole hillside steams and shines. Leaving a sloped yard neat is harder than leaving a flat one neat, and it shows.
