Metro Snow Contractors

About Metro Snow Contractors

Kansas City's boulevard system still runs the way it was laid out a century ago, wide medians and fountains lining streets like Ward Parkway all the way out past the Plaza. Metro Snow Contractors works the commercial lots and boulevard-adjacent properties across that system, where a fountain gone still and iced over is usually the first sign a hard freeze has taken hold for good. Snow moves through the metro in bands, sometimes clearing one side of a boulevard while the other side is still catching flakes, so timing a route right takes real attention to which streets got hit hardest. Getting a lot cleared before the morning rush finds the boulevards again, fountains frozen quiet in the gray light, is the job every storm brings. A clean, black lot against all that iced, ornamental stonework nearby has its own kind of order.
