Wheeler Excavation and Trucking

About Wheeler Excavation and Trucking

Winter rarely arrives politely in Joplin; more often it is a night of sleet ticking at the windows and a gray dawn that finds Range Line Road glazed and driveways locked under a crust of ice and snow. When that weather lands, Wheeler Excavation and Trucking goes to work on snow removal. The aim is plain and good: drives and lots opened up, the snow pushed back in clean banks, paths wide enough to actually use. There is pride in that kind of work in a city built on old lead-and-zinc mining ground, a place that knows how to dig out, rebuild and keep going. When the low winter sun finally lights a cleared lot, Joplin can get on with its day.
