About Green Acres Outdoor Solutions

North of downtown, the ground still carries the shape of the lead and zinc mines that worked here long before the neighborhood grew back over them—old chat piles smoothed down, low rises where a shaft once stood, all of it turned green again over time. Green Acres Outdoor Solutions tends yards built on that reclaimed ground, ground that drains and freezes a little differently than the rest of Joplin because of what's underneath it. A snow that falls even can pool strangely over an old mine flat, icing first in the low spots where the land shifted unevenly long ago. Reading that ground before running a blade over it is half the job out there. Clearing those yards down to bare grass again, on land that's already been through so many changes, has its own quiet reward.
