About Avail Service Co, LLC.

Index barely exists as a place anymore — a platted town from the 1850s that never filled in, its name kept alive mostly by the township lines on a Cass County map — but the crossroads and farmland around it still need a plow same as anywhere. Avail Service Co. works that quiet stretch between Harrisonville and the county's smaller towns, clearing driveways and farm lanes across ground that's mostly open field and fence row now, with little to mark where a town square was once supposed to stand. Plowing a road with no real town at the end of it — just a mailbox and a long driveway back to a farmhouse — carries its own particular stillness. The crew treats those lanes the same as any main street: cleared, salted, and passable before the day gets moving.
