Mow'er down

About Mow'er down

Missouri thunderstorms roll through Hough with real theater, a green-gray sky, a crack overhead, a downpour drumming on every roof, and by the next morning the grass seems an inch taller. That's when Mow'er down earns its name, bringing a rain-fed lawn back to order with mowing, trimming and a tidy-up after the wind. There's a grin built into the business name and a seriousness in the result: stripes laid evenly, the curbline clean, the yard looking washed and new. Storm season brings growth in surges, and keeping pace with it is the whole job. The clouds drift east; the lawn stays in hand.
