About Waight Lawn & Landscape

By the time the school bus starts its route out of Hazel Hill, Waight Lawn & Landscape has already scraped every driveway along the gravel roads leading toward Holden down to the bare rock. This corner of Johnson County rolls into open pasture and cropland, and an overnight wind can leave a driveway drifted shut before anyone's up to notice. The crew knows which farm lanes catch the worst of it and which ones stay mostly clear, running trucks out before first light so the day can start on schedule. A driveway scraped down to bare gravel, steam still rising off the truck bed, is a small daily thing — but on roads this quiet, it's the difference between getting to town and not.
